Megumi Takase plays as a striker and was part of the 2011 World Cup Japan squad.

The Japanese team made headlines all over the world after they beat the USA in the final after a 2-2 draw at extra time saw penalties decide who became World Cup champions for the first time. Takase played a small part in that victory, coming off the bench during Japan's 3-1 win over Sweden in the quarter-final.

A prolific forward for INAC Kobe Leonessa, Megumi has made over 60 appearances for her country and scored nine international goals.
