Melbourne Cricket Club membership ticket, season 1938/39

Melbourne Cricket Club membership ticket from 1938/39 season. Rectangular ticket is dark green with gold detail impressed on the front. Features an elaborate outer border with a double-lined inner border which contains a stylised Melbourne Cricket Club monogram on the left and a bold 'H' on the right with dates below it. Reverse side features a tan background with purple printed text and green ink text. Reads, "......1938 / Issued to...... / C. W. Simmons (printed signature) HON. TREASURER. / Hugh Trumble (printed signature) SECRETARY. / No. H7". Green handwritten text scrolled diagonally across the centre, reads, "Cancelled / J. R. Bisbry ?? / 31/7/39". Outer edges read, "If this Ticket is used by any other person than the one to whom it is issued it will be forfeited. / Available till 31st August, 1939 / NOT TRANSFERABLE / SANDS & MCDOUGALL PTY. LTD., MELB".
