Melted Coin Cluster

These coins were recovered from the Pentagon following the September 11, 2001, attack by a team of U.S. Army Center of Military History (CMH) curators. There is plastic melted onto the coins that is believed to be from the container the coins were in. The Army assisted with recovery operations including providing security and logistical support.
