Meltwater, Columbia Icefield.

Crystal clear water streams down a meltwater channel carved into the blue surface ice of the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park, Alberta. The camera looks upward along the sloped surface of the glacier, toward a saddle-shaped ridge where the glacier flows downhill from the vast Columbia Icefield (not visible) high above. A small semi-circle of blue sky is visible at the centre top of the photo just above the glacier, flanked by steep mountain slopes on either side.
