Memorial to Scipio Africanus, Church of St Mary, Church Close, Henbury, Bristol

Little is known about Scipio Africanus. he was born in circa 1702 and died on 12 December 1720. Between those dates, he was servant to the Earl of Suffolk and Bindon. The Earl and his wife lived at the Great House in Henbury but it is not known how and when Scipio came into their service.
