These are memos written by General Lee Dae-yong while imprisoned by the Vietnamese Communist government in 1975 whilst serving as minister at the Korean diplomatic mission. The memos were written front and back on small pieces of paper such as cigarette cartons and gum wrappers, in a variety of languages such as English, Japanese and Korean. The pieces of paper were numbered. Some of the edges are torn or rather worn.
