BEDOUINS IN THE BISHARIN CAMP

On the return journey from Khartoum to Cairo, the party visits a Bedouin camp. This is what Ida Uhse writes in her travel diary:
“22nd of Feb. In the morning we went to the Bisharin camp, where a Bedouin tribe lived in miserable carpeted tents. The people looked better than other mixed races. The Countess bought a string of glass beads that was offered to here."
