Merynka' scarf Merynka' scarf

White woolen scarf called 'merynka', embroidered with plaited ribbon in one corner, with small and large flowers. The flowers are pink, purple and blue, among them there are green twigs with leaves. The scarf has a shape similar to a square and is trimmed with long, white fringe made of plaited tape. Worn in the summer, as part of the Sunday attire, on a kabotek – a linen shirt with decorative puffy sleeves, but without a ruff, usually fastened with a brooch or a decorative pin. The corners of the scarf hung loosely in the front, or were tucked into the back of the apron belt.
