This photo, of a boy in uniform posing by his bicycle, was taken on "30th St. near Broadway. Fine sunny day," according to Alice's notes. Alice was often on the move herself, traveling into Manhattan on her own to document the street life and working immigrants of New York City. She went to great lengths to capture her subjects, transporting up to fifty pounds of photography equipment in her quest.
