Metal lathe and turner Benjamín Hansson.

Used to make helical cuts in metal objects as they turn around a center point in the machine. Benjamín was a brother of Jóhann Hansson and a metal turner. He came to Seydisfjordur after his brother had established his mechanical shop (1907) and acted as shop manager. He lived on the upper floor of the shop with his wife and three children.
