Metamorphic Card II

This metamorphic card exposing General Benjamin Butler under the skirt of Belva Lockwood uses a theme in this type of card that is found elsewhere. Grover Cleveland and the Reverend Henry Ward Beecher were similarly mocked, although not in connection with Belva Lockwood. This "naughty" card is an illustration that the "prim" Victorian age also had its other side.
