Designed by native Texas George W. Meyer in 1957, the original “Little Toot” won the prestigious “Outstanding Achievement in a Homebuilt Aircraft” at the fifth EAA Convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. James D. Mahoney built the aircraft on display over a six-year period, completing it in 1968. After a complete restoration by Ralph Meyer, son of the original designer, the aircraft found its new home at the Frontiers of Flight Museum.
