The Marx Big Wheel made it to the National Toy Hall of Fame in 2009. An innovative design at the time of its introduction in 1969, the Big Wheel enjoyed great popularity and many refinements in design over the years. At some point--perhaps the 1980s, perhaps earlier--the makers produced a pink version especially for little girls. Soon these pastel Big Wheels were seen and heard on sidewalks everywhere, just as their primary-colored brothers were.
