Corydalus Cornutus - French Guyana. Megaloptera Corydalidae. Males have monstrously developed horn-shaped mandibles, hence the name. In the resting position, wings are folded in a roof shape. During the day they frequently rest nearby waters, flying only at dusk and in the evening. Larvae are still sought by american fishermen as bait for trouts. Pietro Castellano collection.
