"Mickiewicz, His Life and Spirit"

An example of Maria Konopnicka's critical literary activity. Originally published under the title: "O Adamie Mickiewiczu" ["On Adam Mickiewicz"] in "Kurier Warszawski" in 1898 (no. 355) and 1899 (no. 1–95). Separately, it was published in Cracow in 1899. In 1902 F. Kochman Foundation awarded the work with a diploma (award for lifetime achievement in literature, with particular reference to the book entitled "Mickiewicz, jego życie i duch" ["Mickiewicz, His Life and Spirit"]). The copy contains a portrait of Mickiewicz.
