This BioGlobe is a small aquarium contained in a glass ball, which reproduces, at a simplified and reduced scale, some biological processes that have been occurring on Earth since billions of years. Within this sphere, algae, red shrimps and bacteria coexist in a balance: it is a sealed microcosm, which supports itself by receiving from the outside only some light, as it happens for our whole planet. Thanks to the light energy, microscopic algae carry out the photosynthesis, releasing oxygen and becoming food for the small crustaceans. Invisible decomposers degrade the organic matter produced by the previous species, making it available again for the algae in a potentially infinite cycle (made by: Globus International s.r.l.).
