Bodice with Sleeves - Corset non Baleiné

This sleeved bodice is covered a decorative fabric of moss green silk with white flower bouquets and vines woven, or so-called lampas. A single flower bouquet rising from a small vase is symmetrically placed on each of the respective front portions and on the back. The back is not stiffened apart from one stay on either side of the closure. The front portions are fully stiffened with 14 whalebone stays in a fan-like position and two transverse rods, four longitudinal rods and a thicker square rod form a deep downward-drawn busk. The laced fastening of seven interlocking holes is concealed beneath. The short peplums above the hip are padded, the sleeves are narrowly cut, and the bodice is fully lined with linen.
