Milk container

Wooden milk container with a cup lid and leather thonging decorated with beads and cowries. The top where the cup fits in is made of a strip of basketry and leather. The bark of mbarwe tree is used for fibre and the leather is cowhide. The men go out and collect the wood which is cut from the laishimi tree with an axe. The women shape the object using a tool called bita.
