Milk Pot & Basket

This milking pot is made of weaved fiber from the roots of the 'barara' tree with camel skin straps decorated using cowries. It is made watertight by repeatedly smoking it. The holding basket is made of sticks and woven leather thongs. It is used for storing either fresh or sour milk.
