Miniature book "Choju-giga"

The plants and animals of this miniature book were painted by Kobayashi Ritsudo, a nihonga (Japanese-style paintings) painter. Besides kakejiku (hanging scrolls), he left a lot of miniature works. Our museum possesses many miniature books. Each book is stored in the small box like that on the right side.
