  • About Creator: José Edvan Ferreira de Lima (Glória do Goitá, PE, 1986), an apprentice mamulengueiro at the age of 12, according to the SAP 74 catalog, played the ganzá in the Teatro do Riso, led by master Zé Lopes. This fact highlights a characteristic aspect of this form of play: those who take part in it almost always do a bit of everything — which is justified by its improvised nature and the full use of all available resources.
