The TLV mirror has the round center buttons enclosed in a square, surrounded by T, L, and V shapes, as per the standard design. In the standard design, L shapes represent a ruler, and V shapes a compass. This style was popular during the Latter Han Dynasty, many of these also made it into Japan. This item is a domestically made mirror in imitation of the Later Han Dynasty mirrors. It’s the biggest mirrors excavated from Okinoshima, and is exceptionally well cast, and is known as one of the highest quality imitation mirrors from the early Kofun period.
