Two views of Mission San Diego de Alcala (commonly referred to as Mission San Diego). The top photograph (William M. McCarthy Photograph Collection, 96-07-08.2.076) was taken in approximately 1905. The bottom photograph, taken after the church was reconstructed in 1931, shows the newly-rebuilt forty-six-foot tall campanario (bell tower or bell wall) (William M. McCarthy Photograph Collection, 96-07-08.10.067).
