STS-91 Mission Specialists Valery Ryumin, with the Russian Space Agency, and Janet Kavandi, Ph.D., practice getting out of a slidewire basket during Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) training activities near the emergency shelter bunker at Launch Complex 39A. The crew is practicing emergency egress procedures during the TCDT, a dress rehearsal for launch. STS-91 is scheduled to be launched on June 2 with a launch window opening around 6:10 p.m. EDT.
