Since the 1920s, the post office mainly used electric vehicles in local and suburban areas. Even in the 1950s, electric cars were still highly regarded by the Federal Post Office due to their advantages in urban areas. In collaboration with Maschinenfabrik Esslingen and Lloyd-Motorenwerke Bremen, the post office developed this 2.75-ton delivery vehicle as the ideal vehicle for cities, with a power output of 14 horsepower and a top speed of 17 miles per hour. Rich in detail, the model was built by the Hamburg-Stellingen training workshop in 1963.
