This a model of a warship with three masts, sails and 40 cannons. Sides of the ship are decorated with polychromatic painting and contain portraits of members of the Brotherhood of Blackheads between gun-ports. There is a view of Tallinn with St Olaf's church with a scene of a deer hunt on the foreground painted on the portside aftercastle of the ship.
Documents attest that the first ship model was purchased by the Brotherhood in 1541. The model likely dates from the early 17th century, but since the hull of the ship is so old-fashioned, it might be a actually be the the model bought in 1541 that has been thoroughly rebuilt later.
