It is unclear who made this small plywood model of Kirkstall Abbey, but we do know that it was rescued and donated to the City of Leeds by Colonel North in 1889. It is thought that Colonel North acquired it item from the Earl of Cardigan owner of the Abbey until 1888. The small model of the ruined Abbey sits its own glass case looking almost like a snow globe.
