Mohd. Rafiq Ahanger

Mohd Rafiq Ahanger, is a grassroot innovator from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. As a blacksmith by profession, and with passion for innovation, he has developed a multipurpose tool, which can be used as an axe, hammer, chisel, blade, screwdriver for domestic or other carpentry tasks. Apart from this, he has made prototypes of many innovations, like room heating pads and a dehulling machine. In 2018, he was selected for the Innovation Scholars In-Residence at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. He hopes to continue designing new ideas and develop them into tool and machines that can help people from all across the world.
