Seated portrait of Sir Mohsin ud-Daula, also transliterated as Mohsin-ood-Dowlah. He married one of the sisters of Amjad Ali Shah, the 4th King of Awadh, making him an uncle of Wajid Ali Shah, the last King of Awadh. He rests his arm on a table covered with a tablecloth with a foliage motif, holding an unidentified object in his other hand.
