Moimoi is a staple food among the Yorubas (and other regions of Nigeria). It is steamed bean pudding made from peeled black-eyed peas, onions, fresh ground peppers and if desired, any protein of choice including boiled eggs, sausage, corned beef etc. It can be served with protein including fish, chicken, meat, and snail. When eaten as breakfast, it is often served with 'Ogi', a type of light cornmeal.
