Monarch Receiving an Emissary

This drawing is the work of the great Mannerist painter who worked for the foremost 16th century patrons of the arts in Italy, England, Holland and Spain. He took part in the decoration of the Royal Monastery of El Escorial between 1586 and 1588 under the patronage of Philip II.
