Italian 1960s glitter and glamour by hard rocker Mike Patton (from Faith No More) and the Metropole Orchestra. Patton discovered the golden years of 1960s Italian B-film music thanks to the young film composer Daniele Luppi. Together they reworked the finest classics of Gino Paoli, Luigi Tenco and Ennio Morricone and others into amazing arrangements for full orchestra with electronic accompaniment. Don’t be deceived by Patton’s white suit and severely combed-back hair: Mondo Cane (A Dog’s World) is absolutely not nostalgic. Mike Patton makes us see and hear how vital and important this music continues to be through his adventurously modern interpretations.
