This ingot has a diamond-shaped form with rough edges. Such bars are usually called Chernihiv ingots according to the place of the first finds, although their chronology, place of production and functions remain debatable. There is an assumption that ingots of this type are the earliest of the silver ingots of the princely era. Perhaps at first they acted as raw materials and were intended for the jewelry market, and only later acquired payment functions. It is interesting that the largest amount of graffiti in the form of letters was found on gryvnias of the Chernihiv type. In the treasure, which was in a small amphora, there were 11 gryvnias of the Chernigov type, seven diamond-shaped and three elliptic-shaped, and silver belt ornaments of work, possibly Iranian or Central Asian work of the 11 century.
