In Resolution No. 02 on February 20, 1963, the Presidents of the People's Congress of the People's Republic of Mongolia officially sanctioned new military uniforms. These uniforms were subsequently introduced on May 1, 1963, and included the replacement of gold and silver shoulder badges with five-pointed insignias for all officers.
