Monika, Irena, the grandmother and Dr. Vilém Rieger

The main roles in the film version of Leaving based on Václav Havel’s theatre play of the same name were filled by Josef Abrhám and Dagmar Havlová as Dr. Vilém Rieger and his girlfriend Irena. Irena’s close friend Monika was played by Eva Holubová and Vlasta Chramostová portrayed Rieger’s mother. The film premiered at the Lucerna cinema on 22 March 2011.
