In 2018, Panayotova created a series of three large-format paintings united by the name "Monochrome Space." In these works, the artist recreates a momentary state of mind and the material presence of object in space.
The composition of lines in the gray color range, shown in "Monochrome Space: I," provokes the viewer to deeper semantic thought. "The paintings are inspired by the loneliness in which we exist in any given moment, hour, or day after day. Our bodies are just outlines in space, emptied of content. Lines trapped in gray space."
