This Monolithic rock-cut Elephant strcuture is located at the foot of Kaima or Kayema Hill in Jajpur, Odisha. Built in the 2nd century BCE (few records claim 3rd Century BCE by Tissa, third Mauryan ruler Ashoka's brother), it carries the inscription saying 'Sri Sri Buddha'. The hill is also house to inscriptions dating to 13th century CE and few rock-cut caves too.
