About the artist: Keith A. McConnell (LtCol, USMCR) (1946 - present)
Keith McConnell graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio University and a Master of Fine Arts from California State University. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1968 and was selected as a combat artist. In addition to his work in Vietnam, McConnell created nine “Toys for Tots" posters and documented various training exercises and Operation Desert Storm. McConnell became a registered nurse and worked as an operating room and mental health nurse until he retired in 2002.
