This moquette pattern was used on the Jubilee line's 1996 Tube stock. Its geometric design has varying sizes of rectangles and triangles in grey, light blue, yellow, purple and black. The idea was to evoke the royal connections of the silver jubilee that inspired the line's name by using silvery tones with regal purple. Warwick Design Consultants created the moquette design and it was manufactured by British Furtex Fabrics Limited. The new Jubilee line trains were to upgrade the 1983 stock, but it was found that brand new trains could be bought at virtually the same cost.
