Ned Kelly knew all our camps in the Warby Ranges. He would describe the constables who used to go and look for the horses at daylight, and the one who was told off to light the fire and boil the billy of tea. Historical record

I was amused that the police had hammocks in the bush. It seemed to indicate something of comic opera. Sidney Nolan
