Morning

The work represents the friars that are praying in the early hours of the morning. The religious subject is so intense and this is not uncommon in the Balestrieri’s production. In fact, he showed his interest in liturgical moments on several occasions, without renouncing to a solid naturalistic structure and a certain descriptive figurativeness which were seen as spiritual purification.
