Blue Star Contemporary's MOSAIC Student Artist Program provides art-interested high school students the opportunity hone their technical skills as artists, while learning the business of art. Large-scale public art commissions like El Legado de Nuestra Jornada (The Legacy of our Journey) for the Historic Outdoor Art Museum in New Braunfels, TX give young artists the chance to work as a team from concept design and budgeting to planning and execution. As of 2018, this public art project was the ninth that was completed by the young artists in the MOSAIC Student Artist Program.
