Geometric paving mosaic with black and white tesserae. It is composed of a medallion shape made up of white triangles on a black background, with eight concentric circles in a rosette with six white ends above a black hexagon. It features white triangles at the four corners. This shape is disputed, but is likely to be a military emblem: most likely a military shield.
This mosaic was in a room inside the domus containing the Orpheus mosaic.
