Motor City Cobra (T.H. The Hit Man) is a work by British artist Danny Fox (St. Ives, United Kingdom, 1986). A motley assortment of colourful figures populates his daring creations: boxers, horsemen, cowboys, and strippers mingle with clouds of fried eggs and floating flowers in crude celebrations of sleaze, style, and character. Observation and wit are the essential ingredients in his work, combined with historical visual references and carefully studied titles. Influenced and inspired by his surroundings, his works echo the naive style of Cornish artists such as Alfred Wallis and contemporary figures such as Torrey Thornton.
