The Impala was the flagship model of the entire history of the Montesa brand, with over 11,000 copies sold in the first year of manufacture. It was designed by Leopoldo Mila and became the source of many subsequent models. It had a modern engine block integrated gearshift. The deposit has a new design with flat lower forms that reduces engine noise heard by the pilot. He won the Gold Delta ADI-FAD for the best industrial design.
