Result of a collaboration agreement with the Italian brand that made its Laverda four-stroke engine. His aesthetic was very modern for its time and remained in the catalog of the brand for 10 years.
The idea of Pere Permanyer was making a scooter 50cc four-stroke that had not existed in the market, but the change in legislation on mopeds led to a change of strategy. They decided to create a 60cc motorcycle, but the high end cost for a small displacement vehicle limited its success with 1,580 units sold between 1963-1966.
Laverda left the sector and Montesa could not develop models with which to face such strong competition as Lambretta and Piaggio that at the time were the kings of the scooter.
