Kaioku created this painting on 15th of the sixth month when he was 53 years old. Signed as Kaioku. The heptametrical quatrain as the legend, which was made before this picture was painted, describes: in the season of the fresh green leaves when wisteria blossoms, he walked along the mountain stream for half a day, and rested, while drinking.
The river flows across the picture. Is Kaioku among the three people relaxing at the hut in front?
