Mr R Wood

Mr Wood was the manager of the Palladium Cinema, Ripon, in 1916. Ripon had at least three cinemas during the period of the First World War, but only the Palladium survived and continued operating until 1974, when it showed its last film – Firefox, starring Clint Eastwood.

Ripon had been without a cinema for almost 40 years, until Curzon Ripon opened in 2013.
