A wall painting in the village of Madhubani in the state of Bihar. Painted by layering plaster on by hand, many are depictions of children, flowers or birds, or deities the painter believed in. Old Indian habitual traditions are handed down by females. There are openings here and there in the walls, where flowers are arranged in pots and people pray. This work is a delightful response to the wall painting, which was painted in rich, lyrical colors by the women of the village under the brilliantly shining sun, and spoke to Akino's heart in a bright, smiling manner.
