Multiple Use Furniture

This is a “surprise” piece of furniture: open, it becomes a bed with dresser, dressing table, desk, stool and niches to store objects. Very compact, it is indicated for use in small environments. Legend has it that it was made for circus workers. Araucária pines and thatch houses are represented in notches on the front of the piece. The piece is part of the MCB Collection, and is available for viewing at the long-term exhibition at the Museu da Casa Brasileira called ‘Remains of the Atlantic Forest & MCB Collection’.
